Programs and events
We offer a robust calendar of annual events, workshops, and programs—all open to all students—that support transition, retention, graduation, and overall academic success. Rooted in cultural affirmation, social justice, and community engagement, our programming invites students to explore the rich histories, contributions, and lived experiences of Chicanx and Latiné communities. By participating, students deepen their understanding of cultural identity, social and political systems, and global and local movements for equity and justice.

El Centro provides a welcoming space where students can connect with campus resources, discover Chicanx and Latiné student organizations, build relationships with faculty and staff, and explore ways to get involved in campus life.

We offer holistic support for academic, career, and personal concerns. As part of the UCSC Resource Centers, we foster inclusive, affirming environments and can connect students to additional campus services as needed.

Access basic needs and reserve our community lounge
Located at the Crown College House, the Ethnic Resource Center offers a basic needs and snack pantry, a shared kitchen, and a vibrant community lounge where students can study, relax, or share meals. We’re open Monday–Friday from 10 a.m.– 5 p.m.—stop by and see us!
