Prospective Students

Welcome, Future Banana Slugs!
Schedule your College Visit to El Centro
Every quarter, El Centro: Chicanx Latinx Resource Center hosts 4–6 school visits from across California. We love welcoming students and families from K–12 schools and community colleges to experience student life at UC Santa Cruz!
When you visit, you’ll get to
- Hear from current UCSC students
- Learn about academics, resources, and opportunities for Chicanx and Latiné scholars
- Explore campus life and discover how you can get involved
- Connect with our vibrant comunidad
Visits are typically 45 minutes and are offered Monday–Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Each visit includes an overview of our services and, when possible, a student panel featuring current UCSC students. Weekend or off-campus requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Priority is given to local schools and groups from Watsonville, Salinas, San José, and nearby areas, as well as community colleges. Please submit your request at least two weeks in advance and provide alternative date options to help us best accommodate your group. Complete our interest form here.
We can’t wait to welcome you to campus!
